Fountain Solutions Lithographic Equipment - Filtration - Fount LOOP: The Pomeroy Fount Loop is part of the Pomeroy IPA Reduction range of products and is a self enclosed filtration system which you simply place into your fount circulation tank. The Pomeroy Fount Loop runs totally independently to any other filters in your system. The Pomeroy Fount Loop will filter a maximum of 83 litres per minute in addition to any existing filtration. This means that your need to ‘deep clean’ your system can be reduced dramatically. Your maintenance intervals can be extended and if you are trying to reduce or eliminate IPA, it is an absolute must. The Pomeroy Fount Loop requires NO expensive installation. The Pomeroy Fount Loop uses a specially selected submersible pump and other components compatible with Litho fountain solutions. The Pomeroy Fount Loop provides you with secondary high level filtration within your circulation tank, with your fount solution passing through the filter media at the same rate of flow. Lithographic FACT File: • It is a fact that new fount solution is always added to top-up already contaminated fount in the circulation system, thus compounding a felony. • The only time the fount solution is actually pure, is after a system 'clean up' or press maintenance. • It is a fact that good lithographic printing is dependant upon cleanliness - and the cleaner the fount solution the less printing problems we see. • Many fount circulation systems have "token or arbitary" coarse filtration to remove the 'big lumps'/ These filters treat the returned fount at the same speed as the return flow.
