We don’t just cut blankets: At Pomeroy we don't just cut and bar blankets, we are a market leader in the application of mounting adhesives to a wide range of offset blankets and other allied materials. Our range of self adhesive blankets, includes those for: • Plastic pot and container printing: We can ‘build-up’ a blanket to your specific requirements, can make then self adhesive and even cut them into specific shapes (i.e. discs and lid shapes). These can be supplied to you ready for immediate use. • Forms printing. • Label printing on combi presses: We can produce blankets from 1.86 through to 2.20mm, depending on your requirements. • Blankets for two-piece can printing. • Self adhesive blankets: Mounted onto foil or metal sheets for coating applications. • Self adhesive under blankets. We can also produce most blankets in self adhesive versions for special or emergency applications, such as lock-up failures or damage reel rods on web offset presses. We can also punch holes, shape corners to save you from having to do this on-site. Barring Services: As one of the largest blanket converters in Europe, our manufacturing and converting facilities in Gloucestershire, allow us to put bars on almost anything. In addition to our traditional offset blankets, we can add value by barring the following: Shims: for Flexographic newspaper printing. Barred Coating / Varnishing media: for coating and varnishing applications. Barred Flexographic plates: for use on coating units. We can supply master and slave systems to convert older presses onto quick release light weight bar systems. Today over 90% of the blankets we produce from our facilities in Gloucestershire are barred. We have not yet found a bar that we cannot supply. If we cannot source it, we can have it purpose made. Our Unique Blanket Presentation / Packing: Our blanket presentation is second to none, great care and attention to detail is all part of our service and ensures your blanket order reaches you in the best condition possible. Each blanket has the ends of the bar taped, is individually wrapped, labelled and despatched to you in a poly-sleeve to ensure that when you receive your blankets, you can easily remove them from the box without damaging the rest of your order. Benefits include: • Maximum protection during shipping. • Maximum protection in the Print Room until blankets are required on press. • Minimal risk of accidental damage. • Protects the fabric from humidity and moisture therefore ensuring dimensional and gauge stability on press. • Eliminates “Bagging” effect making tensioning on press even. • Actual gauge stamped on each blanket. • Each blanket labelled clearly identifying product and size. • Easy to count and manage stock. This results in reduced downtime, consistent print quality, saves costs and adds value to the printed job. We stamp each blanket with the actual gauge (on the reverse). Many suppliers often inkjet print their blankets with an arbitrary or token gauge. Smaller blankets for two-piece can printing or plastic pot printing can be individually wrapped with as many blankets per pack as the customer desires. They can all be of the same gauge (i.e. thickness) for your specific needs. We can also supply certificates of conformity should these be required.
